WODONGA RACECOURSE
The country racecourse at Wodonga can be located off the Hume Highway on the Victoria state border some 185 miles North East of Melbourne.
The first meeting in the area was held in 1859 and that first meeting in April was called the Belvoir meeting. By 1873 the Wodonga Race Club was formed to conduct the administration of the races. The course always had to compete for crowds and business with the nearby Albury meeting.

The main meeting is held each Boxing Day, a tradition first begun in 1885.
A number of clubs also hold meetings at the track, including the Wodonga Turf Club, the Chiltern St Patricks Race Club and the Wodonga St Patricks Race Club.
