MURTOA RACECOURSE
Situated off the Wimmera Highway, Murtoa Racecourse can be found just under 20 miles from Horsham in Victoria State.
The Murtoa region has a history steeped in racing and records indicate that the first meeting was held on 26th February 1879.

Its principal race is the Murtoa Cup which was first run as a Handicap when the winner was Salisbury.
Although racing ceased during the Second World War it continued once the War was over and a major rebuild programme took place. By 1964 the course had laid a new turf circuit.
