Speedway has taken place across at least 3 venues in the Milton Keynes area since 1978. The initial meeting was held at the Groveway Greyhound Stadium on the 28th March 1978. From this opening event the team competed in the National League until 1988 and were Pairs Champions in 1979.

The final speedway meeting at this venue was held on 25th October 1988.

SP Dallison.JPG (24606 bytes) The Groveway Greyhound Stadium is on the H9 Groveway and has operated as a Greyhound Stadium since its first meeting on 25th July 1963, although once speedway had seen its final meeting the greyhounds continued to run until the final meeting on 26th December 2005. It was in 1981 that it was first muted by Bob Humphries to develop a training track at Elfield on what was formerly a swamp area. By 1985 he had sold the training track and it was left to Mick Brown to carry the project forward.
