PIONEER PARK RACECOURSE  
The provincial racecourse of Pioneer Park is to be found in the vicinity of Alice Springs some 4 miles from its centre in the state of the Northern Territory. It is situated along the Stuart Highway and racing is administered by the Alice Springs Turf Club. This club became the Central Australian Race Club for a short 3 year period from 1932 until 1935 before reverting back to the Alice Springs Race Club. Its original home was at Mount Nancy racecourse which closed in the mid 1970's.
  The first meeting at Pioneer Park was held on Saturday 25th June 1977.
