This was run on Saturday 1st June 2013 and it was a fine, sunny day with good to soft going. The winner was bred by Southern Bloodstock and trained by Aidan O'Brien. The favourite was Dawn Approach who had won the 2000 Guineas impressively and the only question was whether he would stay the extra 4 furlongs. In the event those concerns proved to be true and the first 3 places were occupied by proven stayers, whilst Dawn Approach, who pulled throughout, came home last. There were 12 runners.
