This was run on Saturday 5th June 1999 and the winner was bred by Mrs Max Morris and trained by Henry Cecil. There were 16 runners and the winning time was 2 mins 37.43 secs. The winner won by 1 3/4 lengths with 1 1/2 lengths between second and third. The winner was owned by The Thoroughbred Corporation and claimed a first prize of £611,450, (The equivalent of £1,007,400 in today's terms based on Bank of England inflation calculator). The second was owned by HH Aga Khan and the third by Saeed Suhail.
