This was the first occasion after the War that the race returned to Epsom and was run on Wednesday 5th June 1946 and the winner was bred by Lt-Colonel Harold Boyd-Rochfort and trained by Richard (Dick) Perryman at Newmarket. There were 17 runners from an initial entry of 237. The winner won by a length with 2 lengths between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 44.6 secs.
