This, so called New Derby Stakes, was run on Tuesday 30th May 1916 at Newmarket and the winner was bred by Sir Edward Hulton and trained by Richard (Dick) C.Dawson at Whatcombe. The winner won by a neck with a head between second and third. The winners time was 2 mins 36.6 secs.
