This was run on Wednesday 30th May 1877 and the winner was bred by the 6th Viscount Falmouth and trained by Matthew Dawson at Newmarket. There were 17 runners from an initial entry of 245. The winner won by 1/2 a length in 2 mins 50 secs, with 3/4 length between second and third.
