CROXTON PARK RACECOURSE, Australia
Opened in the 1860's the course was one of the earliest proprietary courses which were attached to public houses. This meant that the local publican could organise the meet but also make a profit from the sale of alcohol.
Croxton was situated in the grounds of the Melbourne Hotel.
